Spring Mountain Wedding at Stanley Hotel in Estes Park

Woodland mountain romance was the inspiration of this gorgeous soiree at the historic Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. Captured in fashionable detail by the impressively talented Drake Busch Photography, Amanda and Dave’s wedding day featured some of the bluest skies of an otherwise rainy spring. Florals and greenery accented an aspen ceremony arch tucked among towering evergreens as Matt Raynak of Rocky Mountain Wedding Services had the wedding rings pass through each guests’ hands to bestow warmth and well-wishes for the new couple. After cocktails on the patio with a striking view of the continental divide, guests signed a guestbook under the watchful eyes of squirrel, owl, and fox in a playful woodland scene.

Artful twists of curly willow reached up toward Chihuly blown-glass chandeliers from mounds of white hydrangea, purple lisianthus, and blush stock on lush lilac table linens (from Linen Hero). Statice Floral further brought the romantic woodland look into a long king’s table centered in the room with a runner of eucalyptus and moss, accented with candles, flowers, and small lanterns, reminiscent of camping trips with grandparents. A fern beside each woodland-motif menu brought the look home and snow-capped mountains of chocolate from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory awaited each guest at their setting as a sweet favor. Rod from RD Stars Entertainment (uncle of the groom) really went all out with uplights and dance lighting and even showcased music videos with some of the songs, providing entertainment for onlookers as well as the dancers.

Amanda did such a lovely job of choosing the details that reflected an appreciation of natural beauty that she and Dave share, creating an absolutely memorable experience for their guests. And the guests were Amanda’s favorite detail. When asked, “What was the best memory of your wedding day?”, Amanda responded, Seeing everyone so happy! It doesn’t seem often that you are surrounded by your closest friends and family who have smiles beaming from ear to ear, and you spend all day hugging and laughing. To be that happy and excited for the entire day, with all the people you love, was the best part for us both!
