The quirky cobblestone streets and bustling historic pubs of Boston lay half a country away as Emily and Jason landed in Denver.  They were, in a sense, returning to the roots of their relationship, honoring the history of their beginnings, remembering the journey of a growing love.  The allure of the West with promise of adventure, grandeur of mountain peaks, and wildness of character beckoned a return, not just to reminisce but to merge history, elegance, and festivity in wedding celebration.  Captured in all its classy detail at Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa by the most charming and talented Casey of Two One Photography.

            

Candlelight playing off the silvery surface of mercury glass, lush pink roses and soft-hued ranunculus framed in seeded eucalyptus and tendrils of trailing vine (beautifully arranged by Plum Sage), gold-lettered custom menus complimenting the rich hues of a thick striped overlay…Emily and Jason’s wedding emanated Old World elegance.

          

Then again, pops of purple thistle and bursts of yellow ranunculus paired with hand-hewn Civil-War Era barn beams in soft drape, cozy log cabins nestled among pine trees, horses grazing in a meadow just beyond the split rail fence, and groomsmen gathered by a firepit, surrounded by tundra-topped slopes…Emily and Jason’s wedding showcased the spirited wildness of a rustic mountain ranch.

      

          

 

     

 

A high five to the ring bearer whose treasures had been safekept in a wooden toy truck, a green paper heart crown and feather boa on the guestbook table, high heels in the grassy meadow, golden lions and lionesses circled in escort cards…Emily and Jason’s wedding infused sophisticated yet playful personalities.
