/  Devil's Thumb Ranch   /  Glamour & Romance, Early Winter Mountain Wedding at Devil’s Thumb Ranch

Jo & Sean flew in from Australia with a spirit of adventure and a hint of glamour to grace Devil’s Thumb Ranch with their wedding celebration.  Two One Photography captured the romantic color palate of flowers from Love This Day, the rendezvous with a white saddle horse, sequin studded chevron runners, and some crazy dance moves on the snowy deck.

Sean, born in the United States, met Jo, an Australia native, in New Zealand.  The two are well-traveled but had actually never visited Devil’s Thumb Ranch until two days before their wedding.  They discovered the ranch on an internet search and with the help of Sean’s sister, then planned the entire soiree over Skype and email.

Jo’s limited edition dress, Adele, from Australian designer Jennifer Gifford, is mesmerizing.  Layers of tulle dancing in the breeze, rich textures of satiny silver-jeweled flowers, soft blush tones, complimented with a coordinating hairpiece and topped with a fur jacket—gorgeousness!  Sean sports his Ted Baker suit very nicely, too.

The ceremony took place in Timber House, often called “the glass room” because it features four walls of windows that give it a very open feel and views of the Continental Divide.  Hand-hewn beams come from the same civil war era barn used to create Broad Axe Barn where Jo & Sean’s wedding reception was held.

Heart-shaped confetti was enthusiastically showered on the newlyweds.  Both Jo and Sean are very close to their families so the celebratory mood was very heartfelt (pun intended).

Candlelight playing off the mercury glass vases and the gold-sequined chevron runners adds warmth and a little glamour to the room while the soft-hued composition of flowers from Love This Day brings a whisper of romance.  Elegant table numbers painted in gold on weathered wood complete the look of romantic glamour in a rustic barn setting.

Jo underwent a wardrobe change for some serious (or not so serious)
dance moves that migrated to the deck when snow started falling

Here’s to the adventurous spirit, the tender romance, and the inspiring glamour of your story, Jo & Sean.  We enjoyed being part of your weekend and we wish you the very best in your adventure of marriage!
