On a gorgeous Denver summer afternoon, Meg and Jon committed their lives to one another at Cheesman Park. Memorable photos were captured by Two One Photography throughout some of downtown Denver’s most iconic spots, as well as at the reception venue held at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Vibrant, colorful florals were on display by the talented Silver Rhino and Gateaux created the cake masterpiece.

A special time was had by all, from the caricatures done by Fun Productions to the lively music by Elite DJ. The happy couple concluded their evening by riding off into the night in their Three Kings Pedicab. Thank you, Meg and Jon, for sharing your gorgeous day with us!

From the first meeting with Chelsie & Mike, we loved their style.  It wasn’t just the way Chelsie described her vision of a “classy romantic garden party with lots of candles” or the couple’s appreciation of really good food, or the sweet way Mike smiled at his fiance and encouraged her enthusiasm.  These endearing qualities came with a spark of spunk that elevated the elegant soiree, adding creative moments that delighted guests throughout the evening.   A huge thanks to one of our favorite photographers, Casey from Two-One Photography, both for sharing the beautiful images and for always being fun to work with!

Pedicabs whisked guests thru the verdant grounds of Hudson Gardens, past an idyllic pond to the sweeping grace of a grand willow tree.  Chelsea looked stunning as her dress brushed white rose petals and flickering candles down the aisle to join the handsomely dressed Mike under an arch draped in white fabric accented with mounds of hydrangea from Pink Posey Design.  Mike’s mom, Doris, officiated the wedding in her traditional South African attire.  Libations to the four directions of the earth, a unity drink ceremony, and “jumping the broom” made for a riveting exchange of vows.

RSVP cards asked for dessert flavor selection rather than the traditional list of entree choices and as the evening light faded around cocktail tables and swank white couches on the lawn, guests found their dessert of choice, a neatly packaged bundt cake (from Nothing Bundt Cakes) topped in a personalized golden aspen leaf (designed by Platypus Papers) at each place setting.

Over a hundred candles flickered and floated in the tented reception under ceiling strands of market lights from Elite Production.  More delicate lights shone softly behind a sheer layer of tulle as they glistened against a wall of glittering gold drape, the gorgeous backdrop to Chelsea & Mike’s head table.   On the dance floor side of the room, Mike & Chelsea kicked off dinner with a first dance inspired by Ed Shearan’s music video that showed off weeks of practice, choreography, and a hint of Chelsea’s competitive dance skills. And a stunning reception gown.

Around the room, stations of sushi in mini cones, colorful rolls, and savory dishes, a tenderloin carving table, and a gourmet mac and cheese bar from Footers Catering fully met the foodie expectations and a gold curtained photobooth from Two One Photography kept guests entertained between dancing and bundt cake revelry until midnight.

This was truly a stylish soiree, elevated by meaningful creative touches and truly a wedding we were delighted to be part of!

Lea & Blake are a sweet, thoughtful couple whose creative touches made this Breckenridge wedding an absolute pleasure to be part of!  We love the mountain graphics on invitations designed by the couple and their gold-lettered menus with entree choice medallions made for a decadent yet playful place setting.  Glittering flags in the mini-desserts from Shamane’s Bake Shoppe were another sweet touch.  The mountaintop ceremony at Seven’s Restaurant had a stunning view and a beautiful plethora of ribbon streamers added color and grace to the outdoor altar, aisle chairs, and bridesmaid bouquets from Statice Floral Design.  The whimsical touch was carried into Lea & Blake’s reception, tastefully accenting the interior space.  One of our favorite details creatively captured by Casey of Two One Photography is that scene in the forest when the couple stole away for a moment together to celebrate with some bubbly.

It was truly a pleasure to be part of your day, Lea & Blake!  We wish you many sweet occasions to celebrate in your life together!

020Some of the most magical wedding days include a torrential downpour that, contrary to the hourly forecast, clears just in time for the marriage ceremony. The sun shines brighter as vows are exchanged and guests feel a sense of awe and appreciation at the timely cooperation of nature.  Casey of Two One Photography captured just such a wedding day with us this past May.

Meg and Bryan, doctor and lawyer by trade, flew from Chicago to Colorado during the third week of daily lingering rainstorms, an out of character weather pattern for the normally sunny western state. The wedding day forecast noted a 100% chance of rain, right at the ceremony time. Clearing skies clouded over again and at ten minutes to go time, we decided to bank on a patch of blue on the mountain horizon and were rewarded with sunny skies by the exchange of rings. Meg’s father officiated the ceremony that included movie quote readings (followed by the audience guessing which movie the quote was from), a fun interaction inspired by Meg & Bryan’s love of movies. The rain didn’t start again until guests were enjoying cocktails in the cozy library of Stanley Hotel.

The Stanley Hotel is an elegant turn of the century historic landmark, nestled at the base of the towering Rocky Mountains in the charming town of Estes Park. Most noted for inspiring Stephen King’s Overlook Hotel in The Shining, the hotel offers a popular evening ghost tour and lays claim to the 4th most haunted building in the United States, incidentally the Concert Hall where we celebrated Meg & Bryan’s reception under blown glass Chihuly chandeliers.

As guests entered the Concert Hall for dinner, they were greeted by a hand-painted sign from one of the couple’s friends and adorable pine cone escort card holders created from Texas pine cone tops mounted on Colorado tree branch slices, all made by Bryan’s father.

Tabletops continued the mountain rustic elegance with candlelit lanterns set on tree slices and adorned with vases of burgundy peonies, ranunculus, and dusty miller. Vintage styled postcards were framed as table names and a clever write-up on the back of each gave the highlights and personal history of places like Portland, Texas, Notre Dame, Chicago, St. Louis, and more.

One display table was dedicated to generations of marriage and it included a photo of Meg and Bryan surrounded by wedding photos of siblings, parents, grand-parents, and even great-grandparents, some ornately framed while other photos were displayed on a digital frame slideshow.

Meg incorporated one of her grandmother’s beautiful brooches into a striking feather hairpiece, complimenting the exquisite Omelia gown from designer Catherine Deane of London. Her stunning bouquet of burgundy peonies added a lovely richness to the timeless elegant look.

Guests enjoyed the celebration so much that Rob of Elite DJ got an encore at the end of the night. Twice! Friends and family circled the dance floor with arms around each other, swaying and singing together, ending the night in full appreciation of the timely sunshine, the sumptuous four course dinner, the wine, the mountainous beauty, and the warmth of a kind-hearted, stylish, brilliant couple.

Classic Wedding with Red Details

Cara began her wedding day with her closest friends at Denver’s luxury salon, Antoine du Chez.  Looking glamorous in spa robes and Prada heels (bride), the ladies sipped champagne on their posh limo ride to the day’s festivities at Cielo at Castle Pines where Casey from Two One Photography captured chic details in lovely fashion.

Cara and Josh exchanged vows under soft drape edged in eucalyptus and accented with pops of orange roses.

Outdoors, guests enjoyed the warm crackle of a fire and the soothing sound of a garden waterfall during cocktail hour.  The reception with delicious food from Footers Catering boasted brilliant orange orchids against a palette of white manzanita branches dripping in faux crystals and candlelit orbs.  A pearl-studded cake design from Shamane’s Bake Shoppe, custom monogram, and classy lighting from Pure Energy complimented the glamorous elegance of the evening.

A Classic Orange and Purple Wedding at Cielo at Castle Pines in Castle Rock, Colorado

Jo & Sean flew in from Australia with a spirit of adventure and a hint of glamour to grace Devil’s Thumb Ranch with their wedding celebration.  Two One Photography captured the romantic color palate of flowers from Love This Day, the rendezvous with a white saddle horse, sequin studded chevron runners, and some crazy dance moves on the snowy deck.

Sean, born in the United States, met Jo, an Australia native, in New Zealand.  The two are well-traveled but had actually never visited Devil’s Thumb Ranch until two days before their wedding.  They discovered the ranch on an internet search and with the help of Sean’s sister, then planned the entire soiree over Skype and email.

Jo’s limited edition dress, Adele, from Australian designer Jennifer Gifford, is mesmerizing.  Layers of tulle dancing in the breeze, rich textures of satiny silver-jeweled flowers, soft blush tones, complimented with a coordinating hairpiece and topped with a fur jacket—gorgeousness!  Sean sports his Ted Baker suit very nicely, too.

The ceremony took place in Timber House, often called “the glass room” because it features four walls of windows that give it a very open feel and views of the Continental Divide.  Hand-hewn beams come from the same civil war era barn used to create Broad Axe Barn where Jo & Sean’s wedding reception was held.

Heart-shaped confetti was enthusiastically showered on the newlyweds.  Both Jo and Sean are very close to their families so the celebratory mood was very heartfelt (pun intended).

Candlelight playing off the mercury glass vases and the gold-sequined chevron runners adds warmth and a little glamour to the room while the soft-hued composition of flowers from Love This Day brings a whisper of romance.  Elegant table numbers painted in gold on weathered wood complete the look of romantic glamour in a rustic barn setting.

Jo underwent a wardrobe change for some serious (or not so serious)
dance moves that migrated to the deck when snow started falling

Here’s to the adventurous spirit, the tender romance, and the inspiring glamour of your story, Jo & Sean.  We enjoyed being part of your weekend and we wish you the very best in your adventure of marriage!
