There is something about a hike in the woods that inspires. The snap of a twig underfoot. The visual texture of leaves, bark, ferns, flowers, and berries. The grace of a stately elk. The grandeur of an unexpected mountain vista. The gentle lapping of water on a rocky alpine lakeshore. This intricacy of details invites a sensory participation that both engages and frees the mind. An inspiring interaction. A timeless dance between nature and soul.
Elizabeth and Parker’s first dance as husband and wife gracefully swept the details of lace, ribbon, and pearls together with aspen branches, soft-hued roses, green berries, and an elk antler chandelier. The dance was witnessed under Tivoli lights strung like stars between log beams atop a rocky bluff. In the distance, gentle waves lapped mountainous shoreline. In the log structure, warmed by the glow of candles and fine wine, surrounded by the textures of nature, friends, and family, an intimate celebration was inspired.
Birch flower basket topped in moss was a very organic addition to this nature-inspired setting.
The ceremony site at Grand Lake Lodge overlooking Colorado’s largest natural lake, flanked by the Rocky Mountain National Park is hard to beat!
This venue has dramatic views of Grand Lake, an historic woodsy feel, and easily transforms into elegant with some chivari chairs, Tivoli lighting, gorgeous flowers, and golden chargers.
We really loved the use of birch branches in the vase, appearing as stems and tying in the woodsy feel as well as lightening the look. Curly willow is also a great way to add height and texture in the room, drawing the eye up to appreciate the wood elements of the space.
Beautiful cake by Mulberries Cake Shop. Very simple yet elegant swirling and the addition of a few flowers coordinated with the bridal bouquets tops it off perfectly.
Use of Tivoli lights and candles add a romantic warmth and festive air to the celebration.
